Certain viral infections might require isolation of patient. Also multivitamins required , oral rehydration sachets required in case of dehydration.
Antiviral medication is recommended after our consultation must be started within 24-48 hours of presentation of symptoms of rash.
In immunocompromised patients or patients not taking antiviral medications in early stage of infection have more chances of complications like nerve pain (post herpetic neuralgia) , ulcerations at site of nerve involvement, secondary bacterial infections and disability affected area, in severe case can involve multiple organs in body.
