Mechanism of Action

Laser removal is similar to electrocautery in that it is using heat to get rid of the cherry angioma. The tool used is specifically called a Fractional co2 laser.Fractional co2 uses a yellow, concentrated laser that generates heat to remove the cherry angioma. This method is very quick and causes little pain, but will cause bruising. It is also important to note that it may require more than one session to get rid of it.

This is a non-invasive treatment technology for the removal of skin tags, capillaries, warts, stubborn milia and more, on all areas of the body. This device uses Laser to remove all benign imperfections without compromising the skins integrity.

The Procedure involves using a pulsed dye laser (PDL) to get rid of the cherry angioma. The PDL is a concentrated yellow laser that gives off enough heat to destroy the lesion. This method is quick and is done as an outpatient procedure, which means you won’t have to stay in the hospital overnight. Using a laser we painlessly remove those unsightly cherry angiomas and skin tags anywhere on your body. There is no downtime involved and the procedure is quick.

Depending on how many angiomas you have, you may need between one and three treatment sessions. This surgery can cause slight bruising, which can last up to 10 days.

A cherry angioma won't go away on its own, but it's also unlikely to cause you any problems. It may bleed from time to time if it's irritated. However, a red mole that changes in size, shape, or color is always cause for concern and should be looked at by your primary care doctor or dermatologist.
